One of our first priorities of «Hotel Les Portes du Désert» is to give the maximum comfort possible for a Saharan environment. This way we offer in our accommodations European Style comfort along with Moroccan design. You will find in all our rooms useful design utensils fully decorated with arabesque décor and fully equipped European style private bathrooms.

Did you ever wish to have a house style accommodation right on the edge of the dunes? «Hotel Les Portes du Désert» offers 3 private Suites right on the dunes, combining comfort in a king size bed room, double room and a living room. This family type suite is the perfect place to gather your family and enjoy all Sahara has to give in a cosy magnificently decorated Suite.

«Hotel Les Portes du Désert» specializes in giving great local cuisine in a magical well decorated dining area. It’s always a preoccupation to give authentic south Moroccan flavours to our clients so our Moroccan kitchen crew does the real cuisine making you feel invited to a friend’s house and not to a hotel restaurant.

Our creative staff will serve you with great enthusiasm and local musical animation. This region of Sahara is indeed very rich in musical rhythms and variety of styles.

Terrace with panoramic view to the dunes

One of the must impressive features of «Hotel Les Portes du Désert» is without a doubt the terrace view. Has our hotel is located right where the dunes start and part of the hotel is actually constructed on the dunes, you will have an excellent view of the great orange dunes of Erg Chebbi. During Spring and Summer evenings this 300m2 terrace is fully animated with dinning area and local entertainment in 3 big nomad Berber tents where you can enjoy great views, relax and enjoy life at its best.

Swimming Pool

Hotel Les Portes du Désert» swimming pool area is in fact on of the favourites along our clients. When Sahara get warmer, this is the perfect combination for great service, fine ambiance and Sahara Sun.

«Hotel Les Portes du Désert» has its swimming pool area open 24h a day with bar service, so you’ll be able to enjoy that 1 o’clock in the morning private moment drinking delicious mint tea.

Bivouac - Tents in Sahara

«Hotel Les Portes du Désert» arranges bivouac service, camel excursions to the dunes to enjoy Sun rise and Sun set on the dunes and several days camel epeditions in the dunes. We have already some pre-arranged destinations but we are open to your requests and desires. Tell us what you have in mind an have a great time in our company!

Camping Car

«Hotel Les Portes du Désert» provides great camping car space right near the dunes of Erg Chebbi – Merzouga. In this 25 camping car parking place we offer w.c./shower area, water supply and all other camping car needs.

This is a great place to come and relax for days, enjoy Sahara in clean safe parking area, adequated for your needs and right aside fantastic dunes.

Quad and 4WD Excursions - Tours 4x4 Merzouga

«Hotel Les Portes du Désert» rents Quad Services. You can rent 4x4 moto and ride yourself on the dunes and in the region. We can provide you guidance and tips that will turn your Quad adventure even more exciting.

You can drive your 4x4 right from the front of our hotel into the dunes and have great fun.
